|This will finish about 19-1/2 x 26 inches|
It's my version of Lori's "Pink Lemonade" quiltalong from January 2012. Here's her post where over 60 bloggers linked in with their versions of this little quilt. Lori hosts one or two quiltalongs each year on her Humble Quilts blog, and she'll be hosting one again soon.
I have a "What was I thinking?" large supply of Valdani 35-weight variegated threads, and I went to that supply to find quilting thread. #M67--Valdani Blurry Vanilla is a nice cream+yellow combo of color, and that's the one I'm using to blend into these Civil War repro fabrics. I'm not worrying about even stitches. I'm just focusing on getting through all 3 layers in fairly straight lines. Utility stitching. That's my hand quilting style, if anyone wants to know.
I got these photos today from the lady who chose my "Egg Money Quilt" earlier this month at our last dept. meeting. Sheryl was proud to show me how nicely the quilt fits in her breakfast nook area, beside her rug beaters and the stained glass window. The quilt looks like it belongs in its new home. It makes me smile.
I hope you have a week of smiling too.
